Programmes

This section gives you a big picture overview of the CGP. Stage 1 outlines the Application and Selection process. Stage 2 covers the Coaching Phase and Stage 3 focuses on the Showcase Events.

Please note that there are several programmes being offered by various coaching companies under the general umbrella of the CGP. Each programme will deliver specific content for entrepreneurs at pre-defined stages of growth and in some instances, customised content for specific industry sectors.  All programmes offered will follow the general coaching framework.

The overall CGP process is briefly explained below:

STAGE 1:
APPLICATION AND SELECTION PROCESS

Companies and individuals can apply to participate in the CGP via the application form provided on this website. Once your application has been submitted, it will be routed to Cradle Fund Sdn Bhd for processing and selection. If your application is successful and you have been selected to proceed to Stage II, you will be contacted with dates of the Business Positioning Workshops that you are to attend together with the date for you to deliver your presentation to the Evalutation Panel.

Thereafter, you will need to attend the ‘Business Positioning Workshop’ (actual programme name may vary). This 1-Day workshop is designed to help you prepare a “winning pitch” to the Evaluation Panel on the potential of your business. Participating companies will receive formal training on how to identify key elements of the business to highlight and the business potential upon successful commercialisation.

Attendance at this workshop by two (2) key executives of the company is important and mandatory. This workshop is not just intended to teach you how to pitch but to help you understand what the selection committee is looking for and to give you the tools to highlight key aspects of your business that they should consider when making a decision on whether or not to select your company for the customised Coaching Programme. Very often customers and investors complain that they don’t understand what your business is about because your “pitch” was too technical. This workshop is intended to eliminate this excuse and help you speak the language of business so that businesses with true commercial potential can be identified and coached to achieve success.

Following the Business Positioning Workshop, you will present your pitch to the Evaluation Panel comprised of a Cradle Representative, an industry representative (TeAM), an investor representative (MVCA) and a representative from the respective coaching company that will be working with you if your company has been selected for the programme.

If your company is selected by the Evaluation Panel, you will be formally notified and invited to progress to Stage II of the CGP.

STAGE II:
BUSINESS COACHING

During this Stage, companies selected to receive customised coaching will be provided with face-to-face coaching by the respective coaching company leading your group.

Companies will receive formal training and coaching for a period of three (3) to six (6) months (duration and modules differ depending on the programme you are enrolled into). During this formal coaching stage, a different business principle or theory will be tackled each month followed by personalised face-to-face coaching with your respective coaches. You will be given assignments to perform that involve translating the knowledge gained into action items that can be implemented within your company. These action plans will be the subject matter of your individualised coaching sessions where your coaches will help you to refine and provide tips on how to best implement these actions towards achieving your goal. The coaches will also work with you to set KPIs for your company to work towards and will monitor the progress of these action plans and KPIs for the duration of the CGP.

Thereafter your progress will be tracked and monitored for a period of six (6) to nine (9) months by your coaches and throughout this period, you will have access to your coaches to help you meet your commercialisation objectives.

Throughout the coaching programme and in particular during the monitoring phase, you will have access to your coaches via an online coaching platform. You will have access to all the coaches who have been involved in coaching your company via the online coaching platform and in particular, each company will be assigned a dedicated coach to work with you.

Note: There may be variations to the above based on actual programmes managed by the different coaching companies. Please check the details of the coaching programmes from this website or directly with the companies concerned.

STAGE III:
SHOWCASE EVENTS

The Funders Showcases – During this stage, the best performing companies (top 30%) based on the monthly progress reports submitted, will be identified and selected to receive additional assistance and invited to participate in the Funders Showcases. However, there will also be supporting CGP events, such as Agency and Industry Showcases held during this stage, which will be available to all 150 companies or teams that participate in the CGP.
